Waste and packaging pollution in the food industry has been a long-standing concern for society. This new bioplastic packaging is produced by reprocessing a range of maize agricultural wastes, supplemented with collagen from fish processing offcuts, and is naturally degradable. All raw materials are sourced from abundant local resources. This makes it an ideal alternative material for food transport packaging in the urban agricultural industry.

From the design perspective, this project looks to restore public confidence and contribute more to the reduction of pollution in the food industry through the combination of material properties and product life cycle.
